The staff at the Southampton Fresh Air Home come from all over the world. Most are students preparing to work in related professions such as education, physical therapy and occupational therapy. They are a dedicated young men and women who want to spend a summer where they feel they can make a real difference in the lives of others.
Being a staff member is not
an easy job. It is both physically demanding and sometimes emotionally
draining. It challenges you in so many ways, but the rewards are worth the hard work. Many former staff members tell us their work at SFAH was a life transforming experience for them.
Experience with children is preferred but not necessary. Alll staff are required to complete a six day training program at the start of the season.
On their time off, staff can easily bike or drive into the town of Southampton, go to the beach or the movies. New York City is an easy
two hour train or bus ride from the camp.
