Transportation

Transportation Options:

There are two transportation options for camp. 

Direct to Camp

First Day: If you are bringing your child directly to camp please arrive between 9am and 12pm on the first day.

Last Day: If you are picking up your child directly from camp please arrive between 9am and 11am on the last day of their session. 

If you are unable to arrive at camp between these times please be sure to contact us to make arrangements. 

All campers must be seen by a camp nurse before parents/guardians are able to leave. Please allow at least 60-90 minutes from your arrival time for your child to be seen and for you to meet with your childs Head Counselor. Please make sure to bring all of your childs medications with you. 

Pick Up in Manhattan

The camp offers the option to have your child picked up/dropped off in Manhattan at the Hospital for Special Surgery. Please contact camp at least one week before your childs first day of camp if you wish to use this free transportation option. 

New Campers First Day: If you are bringing your child to the Hospital in NYC please arrive at 10am on the first day.

New Campers Last Day: If you are picking your child up at the Hospital in NYC please arrive at 10:30am

Returning Camper First Day: If you are bringing your child to the Hospital in NYC please arrive between 9am and 10am on the first day.

Returning Campers Last Day: If you are picking your child up at the Hospital in NYC please arrive at 10:30am

Hospital for Special Surgery: Hospital for Special Surgery, Main Campus, 535 E 70th St, New York, NY 10021

The Hospital is located on 70th and 71st between York and the East River. If you walk down 71st street toward the East River you will see a large fountain on your left. Opposite this is an underpass entrance to the Hospital with a large reception area. If you go into this reception area you will be greeted by a SFAH member of staff who will be able to give you further directions. 

Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate any door to door pick ups at this time. If you are struggling with your childs transportation please contact the camp office at (631) 283-1594
